Usage Note
Ceguera refers to both clinical blindness and, figuratively, a willful or emotional inability to see the truth: ceguera voluntaria (willful blindness) is a legal concept. The adjective ciego (blind) also appears in punto ciego (blind spot) and a ciegas (blindly, in the dark).
