edge
Usage Note
Canto has two entirely distinct meanings: (1) the act or art of singing (canto flamenco, clase de canto), and (2) an edge, rim, or corner (el canto de la mesa = the edge of the table; el canto de un pan = the heel of a loaf). Context always resolves which is intended. The related verb is cantar.
