In Spain comic (borrowed from English, pronounced 'KOH-meek') refers to a comic book, while cómic (with the accent) is the accepted Hispanicized spelling. The feminine adjective is cómica; the plural cómicos also serves as the noun for 'comedians' or 'actors' (archaic theatrical sense).
