Usage Note
Bulldozer is a direct borrowing from English that has been fully adopted into Spanish with masculine gender (el bulldozer). Some style guides recommend the Hispanicised spelling buldózer with a written accent, though the English spelling remains more common in print. The plural is bulldózers in the Academy's recommended form. It is also used figuratively for a person or force that crushes all opposition.
