Usage Note
Brasileña is the feminine form of brasileño. Both forms also function as adjectives (la música brasileña). The nationality adjective derives from Brasil with the standard -eño/-eña suffix. Note the double 'l' is absent; the word has a single ñ and is stressed on the second syllable.

Natural Translation
The Brazilian woman won the gold medal in swimming.
