Usage Note
Borrego literally denotes a young male sheep (up to about two years old), used interchangeably with cordero in some regions. Colloquially it describes someone who follows the crowd without thinking: no seas borrego (don't be a sheep). In Mexico borregos can also refer to rumours or false stories.
Examples
"El borrego pastaba en el prado."
Natural Translation
The lamb was grazing in the meadow.
