Usage Note
Bienvenida as a noun means 'a welcome' or 'the act of welcoming': dar la bienvenida ('to welcome someone'). The adjective bienvenido/bienvenida (welcome, as in 'you are welcome here') is a separate — though related — form. Do not confuse bienvenida with de nada ('you're welcome' as a response to thanks), which is an entirely different expression.
