Usage Note
Autocrítica refers to the act of critically examining one's own actions, work, or beliefs. In political contexts it was used for the formal self-criticisms demanded of members by communist and socialist parties — a use that gives the word a slightly loaded feel. The adjective is autocrítico/a, and the capacity for self-criticism can be praised as tener autocrítica.
