Atlántico describes anything relating to the Atlantic Ocean — la costa atlántica, el Océano Atlántico. As a proper adjective it is written with a lower-case initial in Spanish when modifying a common noun, but capitalised in the full name el Atlántico used as a noun. The h in the English spelling is absent in Spanish.
