Arrollar physically means to knock down and roll over someone (a vehicle running over a pedestrian). Figuratively it means to trounce or overwhelm — el equipo local arrolló al visitante (the home side crushed the visitors). It is distinct from enrollar (to roll up, to chat) despite the similar sound, which trips up learners.
