Usage Note

Arrancar has a strong physical sense of tearing or yanking something out (arrancar una página, tear out a page) and a mechanical sense of starting an engine or device (el coche no arranca, the car won't start). In computing it also means to boot up. The stress stays on the second syllable; the c becomes qu before -e in conjugation (arranqué).
