aquí

here

adverb ah-KEE Common

Usage Note

Aquí marks the speaker's immediate location and is the closest Spanish equivalent of 'here'. It contrasts with ahí (near the listener) and allí/allá (over there). In Latin America acá is often preferred in informal speech for the same sense as aquí, but aquí is universally understood.
