Usage Note

Vialidad refers to the system of roads and highways in a region, and by extension the government department or agency that manages them — comparable to 'highways department' or 'roads authority'. It is widely used in Mexican and other Latin American administrative Spanish. In Spain the equivalent concept is more often expressed as red viaria.
