Also means
passenger
Usage Note
Viajero denotes someone who travels, with a feminine form viajera. It can imply a habitual or adventurous traveller (espíritu viajero = travelling spirit) more than the neutral pasajero (passenger, someone on a specific trip). The diminutive viajerito is affectionate. In transport contexts, viajero often appears in station announcements: señores viajeros (passengers/ladies and gentlemen).
Examples
"El viajero llegó exhausto después de cruzar el desierto."
Natural Translation
The traveller arrived exhausted after crossing the desert.
