Usage Note

Veneciano means 'of or relating to Venice' (Venecia). It is used both as an adjective (arte veneciano) and as a noun for a person from Venice. Note that veneciano also names a type of slatted blind (persiana veneciana = Venetian blind), making it a common household term beyond art history.
