Usage Note

Ubicado is the past participle of ubicar used as an adjective. It agrees in gender and number: el hotel está ubicado, la tienda está ubicada. While situado is equally correct and more common in Spain, ubicado is strongly preferred in Latin America and is standard in formal or bureaucratic writing across the region.
