Suma is the result of addition (la suma de dos más dos, 'the sum of two plus two') and also means a large amount of money (una suma importante de dinero). The phrase en suma means 'in short / to sum up'. Note that sumo (id 3682) and suma share the same Latin root summus ('highest, total').
