Suave is invariable for gender (un tono suave, una voz suave) and covers tactile softness, gentle manner, and mild flavour. In Mexican Spanish it is also an informal exclamation meaning 'cool' or 'great'. The adverb suavemente and the verb suavizar (to soften) extend the family.
