Usage Note

Ritmo covers musical rhythm (el ritmo de la música), the pace of life or work (al ritmo de la ciudad), and rate of change (el ritmo de crecimiento). The initial r is trilled. A common fixed phrase is a este ritmo ('at this rate'). Ritmo should not be confused with rima ('rhyme'), a different sound-based concept.
