Usage Note

Revuelta can describe a political uprising or a bend/curve in a road — context makes the meaning clear. As an uprising it is slightly less severe than revolución; as a road feature it is a tight turn or hairpin. It is also the feminine past participle of revolver (revuelta = stirred/scrambled), so huevos revueltos are scrambled eggs.
