Usage Note
Privilegiado describes someone who has advantages others lack (una posición privilegiada) or, more positively, an exceptional quality (una mente privilegiada, an exceptional mind). The g before i in -giado is pronounced as 'h' (soft). The noun privilegio is its root. Used of a viewpoint or location it can simply mean uniquely good: un lugar privilegiado (a prime spot).
