Usage Note
Pluralidad refers to the state of being plural or multiple and is used in political science (e.g. pluralidad de votos = plurality of votes) and philosophy. It is distinct from mayoría (majority, more than half). In electoral contexts a 'plurality' (the most votes but not a majority) is called pluralidad simple or mayoría relativa.
