Usage Note
Pintada has two unrelated senses: in everyday urban life it means graffiti or a painted wall slogan, while in zoology it is the guinea fowl. Both noun senses are feminine. The related adjective pintado / pintada means 'painted' or 'speckled', and context almost always disambiguates the two nouns.
