Perpetrado is the past participle of perpetrar, used almost exclusively in legal and journalistic language to describe a crime that has been carried out — el delito fue perpetrado (the crime was perpetrated). It is formal and rarely used in everyday speech; cometido (committed) is the everyday equivalent.
