Usage Note
Pega in its most common colloquial sense means a catch, snag, or objection — la pega es que... (the problem is that...). It also means glue or a sticky substance in some registers. Poner pegas (to raise objections) is a very common phrase. Do not confuse with the verb pegar (to hit, to stick).
Examples
"Todo era perfecto, pero siempre había una pega."
Natural Translation
Everything was perfect, but there was always a snag.
