ondulado

wavy, undulating

adjective ohn-doo-LAH-doh Rare

Usage Note

Ondulado describes anything with gentle curves or waves — hair, terrain, sheet metal, or a winding road. The feminine form is ondulada. It derives from onda (wave), so cabello ondulado (wavy hair) is the most common learner context. Do not confuse with rizado (curly), which implies tighter coils.

Examples

"Tiene el pelo ondulado y castaño."

Natural Translation

She has wavy, chestnut hair.
