Origin: From Latin musculus (muscle), via a form that also gave French cuisse through a different path.
Usage Note
Muslo refers to the thigh — the upper part of the leg between the hip and the knee. In culinary Spanish muslo de pollo (chicken thigh) is a frequent collocation. Not to be confused with pantorrilla (calf) or rodilla (knee).
