Monopolista describes behaviour, practices, or structures that seek to create or maintain a monopoly — prácticas monopolistas (monopolistic practices). It is also used as a noun: el/la monopolista (the monopolist). As an adjective it is invariable in gender, agreeing only in number; as a noun it is common gender.
