adjective mee-noos-BAH-lee-doh Rare

Also means

handicapped

Usage Note

Minusválido was the standard administrative term in Spain for a person with a disability but is now widely considered offensive or outdated. The preferred modern term is discapacitado or the person-first phrase persona con discapacidad. Learners will encounter minusválido in older texts, laws, and infrastructure signage (plaza para minusválidos), but should use the newer vocabulary in conversation.

Examples

"El aparcamiento está reservado para minusválidos."

Natural Translation
