Usage Note
Internacional is invariable in gender (el acuerdo internacional, la comunidad internacional). Like other adjectives ending in a consonant, it adds -es in the plural (acuerdos internacionales). It is a high-frequency formal adjective and appears constantly in news, politics, and business. The related noun internacionalización ('internationalization') is a key concept in economics.
