Usage Note
Inflacionista describes policies, pressures, or trends that tend to cause or worsen inflation. It is invariable in gender (el riesgo inflacionista, la política inflacionista), since it ends in -ista. Learners should distinguish it from inflacionario, a Latin-American-preferred synonym meaning the same thing — both are correct, but inflacionista is dominant in Spain.
Examples
"Las medidas inflacionistas preocupan a los inversores."
Natural Translation
Inflationary measures worry investors.
