Usage Note
Hombro (the initial h is silent) refers to the human shoulder. Common idioms include encogerse de hombros ('to shrug') and a hombros ('on one's shoulders', as when a bullfighter is carried out in triumph). Do not confuse with hombre ('man') — the two words differ only by a final vowel.
Examples
"Le puso la mano en el hombro."
Natural Translation
She placed her hand on his shoulder.
