Also means
great, genius
Usage Note
Genial is a false friend: it does NOT mean 'genial' (friendly, warm) in English, but rather 'brilliant', 'fantastic', or 'genius-level'. In colloquial Spanish, especially in Spain, it is used enthusiastically to mean 'great' or 'awesome'. The noun is genio (genius or temper).
Examples
"¡Qué idea tan genial!"
