Generoso covers both the personal virtue of generosity with time or money and a physical sense of abundance — a porción generosa is a generous (large) portion. The feminine is generosa; the noun is generosidad. Note that the Latin ancestor meant 'of noble lineage' first — generosity was considered a trait of the highborn.
