Usage Note
Fumador ('smoker', m) / fumadora (f) follows the regular -dor/-dora agent-noun pattern. It is also used as an adjective: zona fumadora ('smoking area'). The reflexive verb fumarse something informally means to skip or cut something: se fumó la clase ('he skipped class') — a Latin American colloquialism.
Examples
"Es un fumador empedernido desde los veinte años."
Natural Translation
He has been a hardened smoker since his twenties.
