Empresario refers to a business owner or entrepreneur, and also specifically to a theatrical or entertainment impresario. The feminine form is empresaria. It differs from empleador (employer in a legal sense) and ejecutivo (corporate executive). In Spain empresario often implies a small-to-medium business owner rather than a corporate CEO.
