Usage Note
Dominación implies forceful or oppressive control over others and is used in historical, political, and sociological contexts (dominación colonial = colonial domination). It is more forceful than dominio, which can be neutral (domain, mastery). The verb is dominar and the agent noun is dominador/dominadora.
