Also means
wreckage
Usage Note
Destrozo denotes visible, physical damage or destruction — smashed windows, wrecked rooms, debris. The plural destrozos is more common and implies widespread wreckage ('los destrozos del huracán'). It comes from destrozar (to smash, to wreck). Unlike daño (harm/damage in a broad sense), destrozo implies physical ruin you can see. The phrase hacer destrozos (to cause havoc) is very idiomatic.
Examples
"La tormenta causó grandes destrozos en el pueblo."
Natural Translation
The storm caused great damage in the village.
