Correligionario literally means a person who shares the same religion, but in modern Spanish it is overwhelmingly used in politics to mean a fellow member of the same party or ideological movement. The feminine form is correligionaria. It carries a somewhat formal or journalistic register and rarely appears in casual conversation.
