Usage Note
Corola is the botanical term for the corolla — the ring of petals of a flower, collectively forming the colored part visible above the sepals. It is used in botany, gardening, and biology contexts. Outside technical writing it is uncommon; most speakers would simply say los pétalos (the petals).
