Usage Note

Convenir conjugates like venir (conviene, convienen…). Used impersonally, conviene means 'it is advisable/suitable'. In negotiations, convenir un precio means 'to agree on a price'. The past participle convenido appears in the fixed phrase trato convenido (agreed deal). Do not confuse with convencer (to convince).
