Usage Note

Carroza covers both a horse-drawn ceremonial carriage and a decorated parade float (carroza de carnaval). Colloquially in Spain it is also used as a mildly dismissive adjective or noun for an old-fashioned person — 'eres un carroza' means 'you're so old-school.'
