carro

car; cart

noun KAH-rroh Rare

Usage Note

Carro means 'car' in most of Latin America where Spain uses coche — one of the most noticeable regional lexical splits. In Spain carro refers to a cart or trolley (carro de la compra, 'shopping trolley'). It also means 'tank' in a military context (carro de combate). Choose carro or coche depending on your target audience.

Examples

"Vamos en mi carro al aeropuerto."

Natural Translation

We are going to the airport in my car.
