Usage Note
Bosque denotes a woodland or forest of any size, from a small grove to a vast forest. A larger, denser tropical forest is more often called selva. The adjective is boscoso (wooded). The phrase el bosque encantado (the enchanted forest) is a common fairy-tale motif, and bosque nublado refers to a cloud forest in ecology.
