Usage Note
Bolero refers to two distinct things: a slow, romantic Latin music genre popular in Cuba and Mexico, and a short jacket (waist-length, open-fronted) worn especially in flamenco or formal dress. In Spain the original sense is the dance/jacket; in Latin America the musical genre dominates. Context usually makes the meaning clear.
Examples
"Cantó un bolero con mucho sentimiento."
