Usage Note

Bebido is the colloquial adjective for someone who is drunk or noticeably affected by alcohol — slightly softer in register than borracho but more specific than mareado. It is the past participle of beber used predicatively: estar bebido. The feminine form is bebida, though bebida as a noun ('drink') is unrelated.
