Barriga is an informal word for the belly or abdomen, warmer in tone than the clinical abdomen and more colloquial than vientre. It is widely used across the Spanish-speaking world: me duele la barriga (my stomach hurts), barriga de embarazada (baby bump). Panza is a rougher synonym.
