Usage Note

Artrosis is the degenerative joint disease known in English as osteoarthritis, distinct from artritis (arthritis, which involves inflammation). It is invariable in number — la artrosis and las artrosis use the same form. Commonly affects knees (rodillas) and hips (caderas) in older adults.
