Usage Note
Artesanal describes something made by hand using traditional methods, as opposed to industrial production. It is widely used in food and drink marketing (cerveza artesanal — 'craft beer', pan artesanal — 'artisan bread'). The noun is artesanía ('handicraft, craftwork') and the craftsperson is artesano/artesana.
