Agredir was traditionally a defective verb, used only in forms whose ending contained an i (such as agredía, agrediendo, agredir); in modern usage it is increasingly fully conjugated. It refers to a physical or verbal attack: agredir a alguien ('to assault someone'). The noun is agresión and the agent noun is agresor/agresora.
